The applicant should be able to demonstrate exceptional business skills and experience.

You must have a viable business proposal that benefits Australia.

You should obtain a clearance certificate to support that you do not have a criminal record.

Business Visa Australia Subclasses

Following subclasses comes under business visas-

Business Innovation stream 188A

This is for those who are currently running an ongoing business. 188a is considered as one of the most popular visa streams. Some important points to be noted about this visa are as follows:

  • The primary applicant can also include the family members in the visa application.
  • For this visa there is no language requirement. If you do not know the language, you need to pay an additional amount and fulfil this requirement. The additional fee may vary. For a primary applicant the fee is AUD 9,795 and for secondly applicants the fee is AUD 4,890.
  • Business owners find this visa particularly interesting as they are familiar with the concept of running the business. Age requirements of this visa are pretty flexible. The applicant just needs to be under the age of 55 years to apply for this visa.
  • Australian Schools and colleges have excellent educational standards. Children of business visa holders can study and get education in Australia. The dependent children should be below 23 years of age.
  • Experienced business owners in Australia can stay for up to 5 years with this visa. During this period of time they can either start a new business or manage an existing one.
  • One important piece of information to know here is that if the person applying is older than 55 years then they can be exempted from the age criteria. They need to show substantial evidence that their business is going to be economically beneficial to the country in an exceptional manner.

Australia Business Talent Subclass 132 Visa

This visa allows you permanent residency. But, you will need an invite to obtain this visa. It is for people having a very high net worth. The applicants of this visa must be below 55 years. They get this visa only if they are able to prove that they can provide an economic advantage to the country. Applicants of this visa aim to set up their business and then settle in one of the cities in Australia.

This visa has two subcategories:

  • Venture Capital Entrepreneur Stream: For well established owners who will hold a key management role in the upcoming business.
  • Significant Business History stream: For those who have at least 1 million funds given by the Australian venture capitalist group.

The applicants must show that they are highly motivated to run a business in Australia.

This visa allows the applicant to:

  • Stay in Australia indefinitely.

Temporary Activity Visa (Subclass 408)

The maximum validity period for this visa is 4 years and the minimum is 2 months. It is used by individuals who want to engage in short term employment and other activities. These may be sports or any other type of events. The event host or an Australian business/ firm will have to sponsor the applicant. Temporary activity visa holders can engage in:

  • Special programs to improve international relations.
