Effective communication and interpersonal skills are necessary since they are in constant interaction with the participants, families, stakeholders and the service providers.

Administrative work involves record keeping, report writing and assisting with funding/ grant applicants are needed. Recreation Officers can also help with designing the policies, performing safety inspections and promoting the inclusion practices.
