A Hotel Service Manager is in charge of the provision and quality, and coordination of guest services in a hotel. Their main aim is to make sure that the guests get excellent service throughout their stay period, during arrival and departure. They oversee the service teams, watch over day-to-day activities, and keep high standards of hospitality to increase the satisfaction of guests and client reputation of the hotel. The major areas of work will be the front office work, concierge work, coordination of housekeeping and work with guests. The Hotel Service Manager communicates well with different departments, addresses the problems of guests in time, and manages special requests being a professional and efficient manager. They frequently check the guest areas, keep them clean and make sure that all services are brand and industry level. 

Administration is a significant component of the job, such as writing service reports, staff scheduling, training programmes and leading teams in customer service excellence. They work in conjunction with the hotel manager in realising service policies, responding to customer feedback and coming up with strategies to enhance the overall experience of the guest. They can also liaise with the suppliers or service partners outside the organisation in order to make the operations smooth. This position demands high leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities because the managers should be able to react fast to the problem and stay composed and positive. The main success in this job is being able to understand the needs of the guests, the cultural sensitivity and the proactive management of the services.
