A Gymnastics Coach or Instructor plays a role in training people or a group of people in the techniques and skills, and physical training needed in gymnastics. Gymnastics Coach or Instructor Job Description, Responsibilities, and Education Requirements

Most occupations in this unit group have a level of skill corresponding to qualifications and experience outlined below.

In Australia:

AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF certificate IV ANZSCO Skill Level 3

In New Zealand:

NZ Register Level 4 qualification ANZSCO Skill Level 3

At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above. In some cases, relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be needed in addition to the formal qualification. Registration or licensing may be required. Sports Coaching and Instruction is the study of the techniques for coaching and instructing individuals and teams in various sporting activities. This occupation needs a qualification assessed as comparable to the education level of an Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Certificate II or higher and in a field highly relevant to the nominated occupation.
