A Conference and Event Organiser (ANZSCO 149311) is a professional who plans, organises, and delivers events that fulfil organisational, promotional or community purposes. Their activities are in the corporate, government, non-profit, and private sectors as they control the end-to-end event cycle to deliver seamless and professionally implemented outcomes. The main roles encompass communication with clients to establish the requirements of the event, concept, and schedule development, finding the venue, contracting with the suppliers, and logistics, including catering, audio-visual services, accommodation, and transportation arrangements. They prepare budgets for events, track the expenditures and keep elaborate records to ensure financial control and compliance with contracts. These functions ensure that events are conducted in an efficient manner by Conference and Event Organisers and are also able to meet the expectations of the stakeholders and the purpose of the event.

On top of logistical alignment, these professionals also do promotional, administrative, and operational tasks that will make the events successful.
